If you have a basement, it’s time to shell out 300,- EUR for a used rack on ebay, and start designing 1U 19″ systems.

You won’t have all these headaches then, and you’ll be able to cool them properly. And you can still go with intel Atom CPU, if you really want one.

Have a look at the Chenbro ES34069 Mini-ITX Home Server/NAS Chassis, it’s what I’m going to buy and stick a SuperMicro board in it (Atom D510).

I was thinking initially about the Lian Li PC Q08 coming out soon, but it’s even bigger… I guess, I will spend way to much time looking for the “right” case, and have the things sit all bare-metal in the shelf… Yes, had been using caseking’s search for days now…
